Using animated video for business purposes can be an extremely effective way of communicating to your target audience. It’s much easier to digest and generally a more engaging way to deliver content.
Plus, the proof is in the pudding (or measured data). Utilising animated video could increase conversion rates by around 80% and an impressive 90% of consumers say they use video as a way to influence their purchasing decision according to HubSpot.
Here are a few different examples of how your business could be utilising animated video.
Explainer Videos
With people’s attention spans shorter than ever, it can be very difficult to communicate your message, especially when it comes to a complex product or service. Although text provides an opportunity to lay out a lot of content in a highly detailed way, the reader will usually get distracted, making your efforts redundant.
Your brain can process visuals about 60,000 times faster than text according to Idea Rocket. This means an animated short explainer video will be able to deliver a potentially confusing message in a much shorter time span and in a far more entertaining way. This level of efficiency also means that you can create multiple videos to build on their level of understanding, ultimately leading to a purchase decision or brand loyalty.
Let’s take an example. Last year, we were asked to create this animated explainer video for Trinity Mirror, to convey the complex ideas outlined in a white paper. The result was a perfectly balanced and accessible video.

Video Infographics
Infographics have become a popular way to communicate a large amount of data or research into easy to understand images, charts and statistics. Using patterns and trends, this method allows us to remember information better as compared to old fashioned methods.
However, this is not a new way of delivering content and there are a lot of tools making it easier to create your own infographics. This means that yours might not stand out as well as you’d like it to. Creating an animated infographic could help you be one step ahead and enable your data to be delivered to more people than an image could.
Using an animated video to convey your infographics could also be a great addition to your presentation for a conference and live events, boosting the overall experience of your audience.

With online transactions forecasted to grow significantly over the coming years, we can only assume that video will play an integral part in this growth.
Story Telling
Storytelling doesn’t always have to be reserved for fictional novels. Many brands are using it to convey their vision or corporate beliefs in a way that evokes a particular emotion. Putting it into a video format will not only showcase your professionalism, but create a lasting first impression.
This video that we created for Wyelands Back had two major goals. The first was to develop a human connection to the brand and the second was to create a sense of heritage despite its recent launch from the acquisition of an older, more established bank.
In the end, we had an animated video touching on the idea of community and growing together. A powerful message for a brand needing to establish trust quickly and effectively.
Internal Communication
Internal communication can be difficult to master. Constantly following up with unresponsive colleagues can waste time and delay projects and sometimes, you even feel like you are hearing the same message over and over again from different people. You also may feel like you are left behind, not knowing the processes and values that you should be following on a day-to-day basis.
Animated internal engagement videos are a great way of grabbing employees attention in a non-intrusive manner, while allowing them to digest the content on their own time. It also ensures that the messaging is consistent across the company, which can be valuable for building a common purpose and goal in the long run.
This video that we created for PHD UK is a great example. After five years, they relaunched their intranet and needed to produce a series of internal engagement videos.
Their concern was that past videos had featured employees that were no longer with the company. They wanted to ensure the video we created could withstand time and company turnover. Using an animated character with warmth and personality meant that this was no longer an issue.

Over the years we have created a diverse selection of animated marketing videos. Each client had a different need, whether to promote an important internal message, foster emotion and loyalty around their brand or simply, to explain their service in a better way.
